Crab meat cake

Recipe: 

  • Prepare the Mixture: Mix crab meat, mashed potato, onion, spices, lemon juice, coriander, egg, and breadcrumbs into a firm mixture.
  • Shape the Cakes: Form round patties and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  • Coating: Coat each patty with breadcrumbs (optional: dip in egg and recoat).
  • Frying: Heat oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.
  • Serving: Serve hot with tartar sauce or chutney.

  • 250g Fresh Crab Meat (shredded)
  • 1 Small Boiled Potato (mashed)
  • 1 Small Onion (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 1 Green Chili (chopped)
  • ½ tsp Red Chili Powder
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • ½ tsp Cumin Powder
  • ½ tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves (chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Egg (beaten)
  • 2 tbsp Breadcrumbs (for binding)
  • ½ cup Breadcrumbs (for coating)
  • Oil for frying
